静かに眠る二人のモデルは、後に人類の始祖となるリーフとリーフスラジル。
この眠りは、終わりの名残ではなく、新しい世界が始まるまでの、静かな準備の時間です。
二人のまわりには、動物やロボットたちが寄り添い、魔法とテクノロジーの力で、眠りを守っています。
森の奥には光のシールドが張られ、世界に残る闇が入り込まないよう、ひっそりと、しかし確かに守られています。
破壊の後に残されたのは、絶望ではなく、未来へと手渡される小さな光。
動物の本能と、人の知恵、そして新しい時代の技術が重なり合い、次の世界の芽を守り続けているのです。
この絵は、すべてが終わったあとに訪れる、はじまりのための眠りを描いています。

The First Sleep Awaiting the New Sun
This piece is inspired by Norse mythology.
After Ragnarök, the end of the world, Odin protected two human beings and hid them deep within the forest, letting them fall into a gentle sleep until the sun and the moon would rise in the sky once more.
The sleeping man and woman are modeled after Líf and Lífthrasir, who would later become the ancestors of humankind.
Their sleep is not a remnant of destruction, but a quiet time of preparation for a new beginning.
Animals and robots gather around them, guarding their rest through the combined powers of magic and technology.
Deep in the forest, a shield of light surrounds them, keeping the remaining darkness of the world at bay.
Here, unseen and undisturbed, they continue to sleep.
What remains after destruction is not despair, but a small light entrusted to the future.
Instinct and wisdom, ancient myth and emerging technology, intertwine to protect the fragile seed of a new world.
